Looks like it’s tax time again nooblets. Get your W2′s, W3′s and your W69′s ready for submission to the federal and state governments for processing, review, and other scrutinies these poor pieces of paper must undergo.Or electrons I for the most part nowadays.  I found that this year I have 3 W2′s, a 1099-R (for withdrawing my retirement early!!!!) and the tax information from paying off my student loan. Freakin’ sweet.

Today I saw something that I haven’t seen or heard of for at least a few years now. I saw a man whose car had stalled just before a red light at an intersection. He was pushing it slowly off into the right hand lane when he realized he wasn’t going to make it before the merciless federal drivers were upon him. To my surprise, a man jumped out of his van, ran toward the stalled man’s car and began to puuuuuush the junker down onto the less busy road. The stalled guy wouldn’t have made it in time if this brave citizen wouldn’t have taken the extra 15 seconds to help another human being out. After the stalled guy made it safely onto the shoulder he got out and raised a very thankful waving arm toward the van man. That little 25 second happenstance turned around my entire day. It put a big on my face which, as you should know if you’re reading this blog, doesn’t happen very often.

As taxes and life seem to get increasingly more complex, today I found out that the love for humanity that I used to preach so fervently from this very virtual pulpit is still alive, maybe not kicking, but alive none the less.
