Some good music has found it’s way to me, or I have found my way to it.

Talkdemonic, a “avant-instrumental folktronic” band from Portland has captured my ears and mind. They remind me a lot of something you’d hear from Air or Trentemoller. They also remind me of one of our Denver Local bands Lions The Brave. I will be seeing LTB at Herman’s Hideaway tonight, which is right down the block from work. I look foward to seeing the guys there, hopefully I don’t get too smashed.

In other news, I had promised a friend a few months back that I would create a poster for her (long story short, an ex-boyfriend had bought her a picture in a really nice fram, however the picture was nothing like what would fit her personality or taste in visual art) so the other night I stayed up till about 2:30am working on a really good idea I had. I used GIMP (thanks WellNow…not shit talking) the free image editor. And so far it’s come out great. I just have a few more ideas to put into place. I’m posting the WIP once I get home. Also, I will post the picture that he had in the frame. The plan is to replace the weird fish eating each other in the (actually really nice) frame, with something that I imagine fits much better with her personality and style.

I thought I’d give a quick post since the last thing was a creepy ass picture of Zune’s weird advertising campaign, and not very informative of anything at all.

It’s me!

Yes, I am still alive. My liver should be pretty happy with me as of late; I haven’t had a “regular” drinking habit for a few months now. It’s kinda nice. Recently my nights are filled with pixelated crack (aka “WoW”). I run Karahzan weekly with a cool casual guild. We’re starting a third Kara group next week.

I’ve been listening to Otep and Satan’s Host. LOTS of Satanic thoughts flowing through my head… Hahahahahha! Just kidding.

My girl is moving to Pueblo, CO for a really great job opportunity with Primerica. It’s an amazing company with lots of benefits. LoL. Just kidding. Got ya!

Anyway, I want to go with her because we foudn this awesome house to live in, but I still need to find a job way the fuck down there. I hope it all works out.

And..my mom kicked my sister and I out.

Have a friggin’ awesome day.

Woah it’s been way too long since I posted last. A lot has happened since my last, but I’ll fill you in a bit.

Christmas was okay

New Years sucked.

Now kinda sucks too.

Good enough?

Awesome, so I was checking out the group called “Figurine”, started from the guy who did the ‘lectro beats for The Postal Service. I can’t help but notice [nor could you] that the vocals are TERRIBLE. Honestly if this guy could sell me copies of his beats without the eardrum shattering and off pitch duo, I would probably die and go to [insert your spiritual destination here]. The songs are great for about the first 20-30 seconds and then–ugh. Check them out for yourself. Maybe i can get by with cutting the introductions out and stringing them together. Nah..I’ll just hit the next button every time the vocals start. That should work.

We had a great “emergency lan” party the weekend before last. You can check out the details and pics at vxFire.com

I just checked out a friend’s myspace profile and found this denver band: autumn film

The woman’s vocals remind me a bit of Frou Frou. I really like the piano as well.

For a while now I’ve been meaning to check out this sci-fi author that i read about five or so months ago. Finally I looked him up today on my blackberry. It turns out William Gibson is an amazing writer and visionary for technology and how it relates to society. His wikipedia entry says that he envisioned the internet eleven years before it was created. How tight is that?

I found mp3 copies of the original tape recordings of Gibson reading his most memorable book “Neuromancer”. They’re abridged and you can get them here. I’m thinking of mirroring them on my site as well since they’re no longer available [at least at the time of that site's posting]. Anyway, they’re going onto my blackberry for awesome listening pleasure. How can you go wrong with seven 45 minute author read mp3s? You can’t! Duh.

Okay, okay so most nerds and geeks out there already have read and worshiped this book, but I haven’t yet so give me a break.

Peace Out WebNinjas
