I found these videos making fun of people going all stupid over the iPhone 4.
The guy seems to be a fan of the HTC Evo and points out how people just go crazy for Apple products, buying them instead of evaulating the competetive options. These options, as pointed out in the videos, are sometimes lower price, better service and readily available to the consumer…
I’m Dr. Steve Brulle, for your health.
WellNow and I are working on a project for a video game. We have the game engine and the storyline, we have the will power and the know how. What we don’t have (up until tonight) was the modeling software.
I’m familiar with 3DS Max and the free program Anim8or. Which concerning Anim8or, WellNow has given me considerable shit. We are staying legal, so we didn’t want to pirate Max or Maya. Just a few days ago, WellNow brought up the free modeling program Blender.
I was reluctant to switch to a new program, as I had used Blender in the past and didn’t like it to say the least. It had a bad UI, which was my main beef. I never went back after that first download and trial of the software.
Given our current situation, Anim8or is a joke and Max and Maya are out of the question. So after considerable griping about not being able to use Max, I downloaded Blender and gave it a try. After downloading the 2.5 Alpha, I was extremely surprised and changed my artist status from “Gripe” to “Glee”.
The UI had a HUGE update. Features like scaling and adding modifiers have been much simplified. I may post a Blender Convert review a bit later, but for now, I’m definitely sold on using Blender as my modeling platform of choice1
Some guy once said ”the internet is a many funny thing”. We know it’s great for many things including information, education, social interaction, and of course online shopping. In the spirit of keeping humor (geek humorr especially) I made a comic that depicts what I think Cyber Monday is really all about.

Some good music has found it’s way to me, or I have found my way to it.
Talkdemonic, a “avant-instrumental folktronic” band from Portland has captured my ears and mind. They remind me a lot of something you’d hear from Air or Trentemoller. They also remind me of one of our Denver Local bands Lions The Brave. I will be seeing LTB at Herman’s Hideaway tonight, which is right down the block from work. I look foward to seeing the guys there, hopefully I don’t get too smashed.
In other news, I had promised a friend a few months back that I would create a poster for her (long story short, an ex-boyfriend had bought her a picture in a really nice fram, however the picture was nothing like what would fit her personality or taste in visual art) so the other night I stayed up till about 2:30am working on a really good idea I had. I used GIMP (thanks WellNow…not shit talking) the free image editor. And so far it’s come out great. I just have a few more ideas to put into place. I’m posting the WIP once I get home. Also, I will post the picture that he had in the frame. The plan is to replace the weird fish eating each other in the (actually really nice) frame, with something that I imagine fits much better with her personality and style.
I thought I’d give a quick post since the last thing was a creepy ass picture of Zune’s weird advertising campaign, and not very informative of anything at all.
Peace out WebNinjas
